Frequently Asked Questions
What can I expect during my first appointment?
We will discuss relevant history, concerns, goals, and complete an assessment before beginning treatment.
Treatments are 60 minutes long including intake & assessments required for Private Health Fund claims.
Sending in your client intake form prior will help ensure that the consultation time is spent as efficiently as possible.
Do I have to undress?
We only require underwear on during most treatments as you will be fully draped with only the area being directly worked on exposed. You do not have to get undressed, we can adjust treatments to your comfort level and work over your clothes.
Your dignity and comfort is my priority.
Will the massage be painful?
While some of the Remedial techniques can be uncomfortable, you should never experience pain during a treatment. Pressure is adjusted to suit your needs, and communication throughout the session is encouraged.
There may be some mild discomfort post treatment for the first 24 – 48 hours while your body adjusts but if this is anticipated, the therapist will discuss this with you.
We encourage hydration and light movement post treatment.
Can I claim through my private health fund?
We are in the process of getting approved for health funds, some of the health funds can take up to 4 weeks to update so I am running a special to accommodate until they are all in place. As some of the health funds will backdate payments, I will issue receipts so that you can claim if your health insurance will backdate.
What if I'm running late?
Appointments are run strictly 60 minutes, if you are running late, your treatment time may be shortened to avoid delaying other clients.
